February 21, 2025: Forty-two percent (42%) of voters have favorable opinions of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found that just 32% have unfavorable opinions, and 8% have never heard of it.

The survey also found that 44% say the U.S. should continue to fulfill its role as the biggest contributor to international aid and development projects. However, 40% say other countries like China should take on more of this work.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 10-11, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
